The ability to talk.

Hi everyone,

This is just to say that although I write poems and jokes here, all are my way of being able to explain what is going on inside.

I have been dealing with people who have dementia, mental issues, learning difficulties, and many other complaints that most, (not from our communityAt Scope) would tend to give a wide birth so to speak.

We are no different to any other person, but because of a time at birth, if I had been born 1 SECOND LATER, who knows who I might have been. In being able to come to terms with a disability or sickness that could turn into a long term sickness or disability you have to believe in your self.

There are people who can help, and there are people that do the minimum for a wage and would not tell you what your entitlements are because you have not asked the right questions, or pass you on to someone else for them to deal with only to have them pass you back to them in 20 weeks time.

My point KEEP A DAILY DIARY and just some jogging notes to say what you did, how you felt and what you have received for benefits by way of help.

You will thank me for it later as I am going through notes made in 2021 where statements were made one year after receiving an "assessment" and has still not been sanctioned by them, yes going back to 2014.

it pays to talk here.

I started doing this last year @onebigvoice, well I started doing a daily journal. Not really for benefits but just for my own self. It's actually quite nice to look back on sometimes, I can look back to see worries that are no longer worries. Be reminded of good days.

I might start adding things related to benefits too now that you mention it. I can struggle to remember all the little things sometimes.
