PIP mandatory reconsideration

hi,

I have asked for mandatory reconsideration for my PIP review, and I’m trying to attach a letter alongside the supporting evidence. Do you have any tips on how to go about doing this? I tend to ramble, is that better or should I keep it short, should I repeat everything I wrote in the review and everything that is in the supporting evidence or do I just point out what they said that I think is wrong?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you can help me out at really appreciate it

You shouldn't put too much focus on the actual decision letter or the assessment report, if you have that. It's fine to point out a couple of obvious errors but then put them to one side and forget about it.

It's important to keep things relevant, giving them information that isn't relevant to the descriptors isn't helpful.

You shouldn't give them the same information you gave in the form because they already have that. Same with your other supporting evidence.

For the MR you should state where and why you think you should have scored those points. When you filled out the form if you didn't give a couple of real world examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you then you should do that now.

You should also include detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.

Please also remember that they will not take into consideration any worsening of condition since the assessment took place.

Timescales for MR decisions are up to 15 weeks.
