New Review System
Hi all,
I was recently contacted by DWP Review Team via my online Universal Credit Journal. I was advised I would have a call from them this week to discuss the new review process. I spoke to a chap Tuesday as arranged, and he said it wasn't anything to worry about but that all UC ongoing claims had to undergo a review. I had to upload my ID and 4 months bank statements. I now need to have another call to go into more detail, which is routine. I have never had anything like this happen before

Hi @SueL. We've had lots of members reporting these reviews lately. I may be wrong, but I believe it may have been because during Covid there were less of these reviews going on and it's only now that they're picking it back up again.
It's usually just to check you're receiving the right amount of money and to make sure that you're not going over the limits for capital or savings. Hopefully it's all very straightforward for you š

Yep. Nothing untoward. I had mine last week on Tuesday - I was very anxious but asked the UC review for full disclosure on questions that would be asked before the phone review and they repeated what has been said above. I had a note in my journal today saying the review was complete and no changes have been made to my benefits.

I've also had this, they are reviewing millions of claims, even those made after covid.

I've had three friends this week say they've been told they have to do a bank statement review. So it looks like it's very common right now. I had one in the past and it was nothing to worry about. š
