One down, 999 to go
From Corrections at The Times
August 19, 2024
We wrongly said that personal independence payment is for people who are medically unfit for work, and that GPs acted as gatekeepers for the benefit (Comment, Aug 19). The benefit is also available to those in work and GPs do not decide on eligibility.
There is a columnist, Matthew Parris, who repeatedly spouts nonsense about benefits. This correction was not instigated by me; there are many informed readers, a saving grace since lesser rags misinform uninformed readers.

That's good @Cantilip, thanks for sharing. I remember seeing lots about this particular article on social media, many disabled people including a couple of disabled journalists called him out on it at the time so it's promising that it's been corrected.
The amount of misinformation out there is frustrating to say the least!
