UC extra bedroom for carer
Morning,
If you are not paying bedroom tax due to getting extra bedroom for a carer under ESA support group, both elements of PIP and SDP and then migrate to UC what information does the decision maker want to carry on getting it?
Anyone been through this that can help please?

As I advised on your other thread, it’s so much easier to claim this for UC housing element than it ever was for housing benefit.
Once you claim UC you should also tell them about your PIP award as it’s the daily living part of this that will mean you can claim the extra bedroom.
Once you tell them this it should prompt an action from them asking if you need an extra bedroom for a carer. It did for my daughter when I claimed the housing element for her back in January.
If it doesn’t then you will need to ask them.
