Really daft question but can the assessors award partial points for a descriptor?

I’m assuming (actually hoping) it’s binary. You either meet the descriptor or you don't. I assume the assessor can’t award partial points? I.e. one point instead of two type of thing?
The reason I ask is because like most of us I’ve scored myself based on my answers as to what I think I should score. Obviously I’m aware the assessor will probably disagree but hey 🙂.

Correct, each descriptor corresponds to a single number of points. They can't change those points.
If they feel you haven't met that descriptor, they will downgrade to the next descriptor, with one or two fewer points. (For example, 'needing assistance' could be downgraded to 'needing prompting')
