Finding Transport
Hi. I need to find disabled transport for getting to and from the jobcentre and other appointments related to finding work. I live in scotland and could use a standard taxi but got quoted £50 one for a 20 mile journey. Does anyone have any ideas of where i could contact? Thanks

Hi @Tonawanda17, It looks like Disability Information Scotland also have a helpline listed on their website if you'd feel up to giving them a ring. They might have an idea of what's available in your area and could point you in the right direction. The first thing that springs to mind is something like a Dial-a-ride bus, but it'll depend whether they offer something like that near you.
There's also a directory here that you can search by area, so that might be worth a go:
Mobility, Travel and Transport Archives - Disability Information Scotland (disabilityscot.org.uk)
Hope you can find something suitable 😊

...the costs of disabled people even to find a job are very expensive for them and cause suffering. Or it was done specifically to rob and humiliate disabled people.
