Ah, my mum has 2 cockerpoo’s (brother and sister). They’re really affectionate dogs. I’m sure you’ll have a great time with Oli

Glad to hear you'll have your son with you @Nashota I can totally empathise with the new people issues, I often clam up and almost go mute, or will say something really stupid. 😅

That's the same as me @Albus_Scope then I'll spend the next how long worrying that I sounded stupid and overthinking it.

Waking up at 3am thinking "oh why did I say that thing six months ago?!?" 😆
But the truth is, as I've learned over the years, you're probably the only person who was ever bothered by what you said. We're our own worst critics. 😊

Very true!

Oli is here! He's lovely! Bronn's hissed at him more than once lol but that's to be expected, it is Bronn's home after all. Oli is just curious about Bronn, half of the time he doesn't care that Bronn is there which is nice.
When I get some pictures of him I'll make another thread.

How lovely, cannot wait to see some photos of Oli. Enjoy both your pets @Nashota

Can't wait to see the pics!

Medical centre is still being rubbish, ICB can't help anymore and have advised me to open a complaint with the ombudsman which I did 2 years ago, they've tried contacting the medical centre and by the sounds of it, even they've been ignored, they just send them the same thing over and over to be fair which isn't at all helpful.
Would the local MP be of much help? I've contact Pohwer as I've got 2 open cases with them but I'm not sure they'll be able to help because they were expecting me to have proof that the practice manager hadn't dealt with the issues which is daft because the practice manager hasn't responded to anything since August lol and she's not once told me what has or hasn't been addressed because she wasn't the one dealing with it at the time, some other manager was who has now apparently dumped it onto the practice manager.. the place is ridiculous.

The ombudsman have now been in touch with them yet again but this time they've said if there's no contact within the next 2 weeks that they'll consider taking it further.

Sorry you're still waiting @Nashota, that's so frustrating. Did you contact your MP in the end?
I hope things start moving soon!

No, not yet, I'll see if this works with the ombudsman, they've tried 3 times already I think this is the fourth time and each time they haven't even responded to the ombudsman, let alone me.
I need the records sorting because I want to move to a different practice due to how much stress this one has caused me and plus this other one is closer so I don't need to request home visits which they've still not sort out for me which means I haven't yet had the blood test or blood pressure check a GP wanted me to have.
I understand that there's a shortage of staff but there are many practice who are short of staff but still manage to run their practice and actually respond to patients concerns.

Update about the medical centre, they still never got in touch so I let the ombudsman know and they responded today, I don't understand it, I think it's being passed onto another officer who will look at it but it could take up to 6 months, to be very honest, I can't keep doing this waiting rubbish and really just want to move somewhere else now, but I'm concerned that the issues that I've had at the current medical centre will follow me to the next.

Sorry to hear that @Nashota, it's awful how you've been passed around.
Would there be any way to check with the newer medical centre that they can put a plan in place for you so you can access your medical care in a way that suits you?

Thanks for responding, it's been quite stressful and I've noticed that I've been getting more migraines as of late.
How would I word it or what should I say? I'm terrible when it comes to wording things, I don't have an advocate anymore to help me.
I know that I can ask for reasonable adjustments when I register there, I was having a look at the form, there's a box on there for reasonable adjustments.
Also, would anyone know how I could get a photo ID? I haven't got a passport or licence and most of these cards you apply for expect you to have a referee who will be ok with them calling them at work which I think is a bit much just for a bit of plastic.

I have a Citizen’s card - initially I had to have a referee and they did phone them but I’ve been able to renew it since with no bother. I also have the free voter ID from my local council. That was really easy to apply for and arrived very quickly though I’m not sure if it’s accepted for anything other than voting

Thanks for the response, I'm not sure that anyone that I speak to would be ok with someone calling them at work and I can't get the voters ID because I'm a postal voter, had a look when someone from the medical centre that I'm hoping to move to suggested it. I'll ask my mum if her neighbour would do it, he does know me but I don't know how he'd feel about someone calling him at work, plus he does shifts.
I only really want it because at the moment I have an online account (system) where I can order meds and such which I find more reliable than emailing the practice which is what they expect you to do if you don't have an account, they've messed my son around no end of times when he's requested meds via email, claimed that hadn't received it or the GP hasn't signed it off etc.

I also vote by post but applied for voter ID as I’d not read it properly! I did phone and admit my mistake but they processed it anyway. They might agree to issue it if you explain why you need it?

I'll have another look, thanks.
