Pip review
Hi there
I’ve just returned my Pip review forms along with documents to support that I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD and my health has declined
Any ideas of how long roughly until I will hear anything back?
My anxiety is crippling with the whole process
I'm unable to stop thinking about it from the minute I open my eyes, it’s all I can think about 🥹

HI @Lpie and welcome to the community.
Can I just check you are already claiming PIP and you're returning the review forms?Wait times on reviews are currently very long, so you may not hear anything back for several months now. So I'd try and put it out of your mind for now. Easier said than done I know, but we're all here for support if you need us. 😊

Hi poster
I completed my pip review form
Exactly 1 year and 3 week ago with various notifications from DWP to say they had received form and no need to contact them further
My pip took place via a call that lasted for 1 hour
Last week
So on experience it be a long wait

I returned my form in November last year. I've received a few texts to say they still have my form and will process it in due course. My PIP was extended for up to 1 year in June.
Yes, you could be waiting a considerably long time. I know it's difficult but I'd advise you to try to think about something else because otherwise it could be a very long wait.

@Lpie You need to think about the positives, I was on a two year award, I had everything planned up to Christmas, and then I had my review form in April, my whole World shattered from having it that early, all my plans were gone. It took me just over a month to fill out, which drained the life out of me, and then once I had sent it back, I felt relief.
However, as they are still giving me PIP payments then I am happy, one text message so far which had filled me with anxiety, but it was just saying that they still had my form.
Take the delay as a positive thing, rather than a negative, it works in your favour, the real worry is when you get an envelope from them or a text message.
The less contact that I have from the DWP is far better for me, however it is when they do contact that is when the anxiety kicks in.
Concentrate on Christmas and trying to make that the best that you can, especially if you have any family. The best case scenario is really that you do not hear anything until after Christmas which means that you still have money coming in.

Fingers crossed the stress levels can reduce soon @Needhelpandadvice I remember the anxiety when that brown envelope dropped through my letterbox. Never fun.
