Your first payment will be for 1 month. UC is paid 1 month in arrears. Then you receive your payment 6 days after the end of each assessment period.
What date exactly did you submit your claim?
Your Income Support and housing benefit if you were claiming that should have continued for 2 weeks after you claimed UC.

Did you request an Alternative Payment Arrangement? (APA) For this you will receive the first half of your payment on 14th September and the 2nd half about 15 days later.
The only problem with these is that you will have waited 5 weeks for your payment and then you only receive half of it so it can be challenging to manage your money to start with.

No, not 7 weeks. It's just under 5 weeks for your first payment but because you've asked for fortnightly payments it will be as I advised above. This is how it is when you ask for fortnightly payments. If it was monthly then you would receive the full amount on 14th September.
Going forward after the 14th September you payments will be fortnightly, or there about .

I don't think it's about "pleasing them" There shouldn't be any issues requesting it and them agreeing to it. UC really isn't as bad as you think it is.
Are you also aware that using capital letters in seen as shouting in text speak.

Eventually you won't but that's not the case when you first claim UC, which I have advised you previously.
Please note that due to the fortnightly payments you will need to wait 5 weeks for your first payment, which will then be for half of your monthly payment. Around 15 days later you will receive the other half. This means that you will be waiting longer for your first full payment. So you need to make sure you budget for that when you claim.

For anyone reading this, whether you'll be accepted for the Alternative payment Arrangement will depend on your health conditions because not everyone will be able to have one put into place.
