Will I be expected to job search?
I have a question about UC claiming .I haven’t claimed before Im age 55 , single & work 28.5 hours a week , I’ve done an online check & im entitled to UC my question is will I be expected to job search for more hours & attend regular UC interviews ?

While Universal Credit and most websites mention 'hours', it actually depends on how much you earn. For example if they say 35 hours, they mean earning the equivalent of working 35 hours a week at national minimum wage.
If you earn more than the 'Conditionality Earnings Threshold' (CET) - which is usually 35 hours, but can be lower depending on your circumstances - then UC won't expect you to look for work or do any work focussed activities.
If you earn below this, but above the AET (Administrative Earnings Threshold) which is £892 a month, then you do not need to actively look for work. You can read more about the AET on the Gov website.
