hi everyone, a little bit about me, i care fulltime for my adult son, he is early 30's he has multiple complex care needs, including cerebral palsy , we live in a tiny village on the west coast of Scotland, and help/advice/support is really hard to come by. our closest town is a 2 and half hour bus ride away and as we have no transportation it can be a challenge/military operation to get anywhere, so sometimes we can feel quite isolated, although we do all love where we live, my son loves the peace and calmness of the village and being so close to the sea we are only a 5 min wheelchair trip away..

Hiya @sleepydragon and welcome to the community. 😊

I understand how difficult transport can be when you live out in the sticks, but you always get the nicer views at least! Have you spoken to your local council regarding the transport issues? They may be able to suggest a local firm who could help with occasional days out?

    Hi @sleepydragon

A warm welcome to the community. The west coast of Scotland is such a beautiful place.

It sounds difficult with your transport issues. As @Albus_Scope said it is always worth contacting your local authority for any support around travel for you and your son.

I hope you find this a friendly and supportive place to chat.
