HI all.I have just started getting carers allowance as you probably know its £81.90 per week. My question is universal credit have taken more off me than I receive. They have deducted £354 this month I would appreciate it if anyone knows why this is as I don't understand. Thanks for any help you can provide 👍

This is correct the deduction is calculated by multiplying £81.90 by 52(the number of weeks in a year) and dividing this by 12 (the number of months in a year). This is because Universal Credit is calculated using calendar months.
