Uunversal Credit and LCWRA - What Do You Need To Do Each Month To Claim Your Benefit?
When you start on Universal Credit for the first time ever, I guess it's all done online with and account and portal and journal etc i read about.
If you are on LCWRA i believe you have no commitments to look for work or have a work coach etc.
So what's the point of the journal then?
What do you need to do each month to recieve your benefits?
Do you have to login and click a button every month to say pay me?
Do you need to do anything?
Do you just auto get paid like on ESA with no interactions?
Whats the crack?
And what if you don't have internet access or you cant use a computer etc?
What if you have a carer or helper that can do it for you but they arn't available?
Are there safegaursds for not missing payments or don't you need any?

I can answer some of your questions.
UC is a working age benefit and the assumption is claimants will be working/looking for work.
The online administration (journal) is intended to make things easier for claimants. Which IMO it does - the only ways to contact ESA are by post or spending ages on the phone!
I have seen mention on here of someone claiming and managing things by telephone.
Your only commitment on LCWRA will be to inform them of any changes.
Payment is automatic like ESA each month. Every month a week before being paid a statement is generated, which you can view via your journal (this is optional).
You don't need to do anything.
If you cannot manage your claim you can have what's known as an appointee to do it on your behalf.
