Hi, my name is torriel94! When will I get a decision on backdated pay?

hii people !
I recently found out I was entitled to an extra payment from uc due to my daughter being on dla since December last year . I have changed my circumstances and they have verified her and also my statement has been updated.
I have asked for the backdated pay which they said has gone to a decision maker

Does anyone no how long will take to get a decision on the backdated pay and also when it will be backdated from

Hi @torriel94, welcome to the community.

It's difficult to say how long it'll take as it can vary quite a lot from case to case. I hope some of our members who have been through similar things might be able to share what happened for them though.

For the backdated pay, I can't say for certain, but I'd imagine that it would be from the beginning of your daughter's DLA claim if the decision maker agrees.

You could try ringing the UC helpline to see if they can answer your questions:

They don't always know every detail but it could be worth a try. Hope you can get things cleared up soon 😊
