Hi there, my name is Mike I came here with a u/c problem quite a while ago which was sorted lovely for me Iam now in a quandary as I need to know how much you are allowed to have in joint savings before you're in trouble.

Hi @mikekewell, welcome back to the community 😊
I believe the rate is the same for both individuals and couples, so for savings of £6000 and above you need to report your savings and will have your benefits reduced depending on how much you have saved. Anything above £16000 and you'll usually no longer be eligible for the means tested benefits.
