Phoned. Capability assessment my assessment
Hi there sorry for asking , anyone explain to me please, I went on to universal credit last October, 2023 my first fit note was 15th January I submitted one every two months! with no breaks untill I got told from the DWP in June not to submit anymore? I don't need to look for work nither? I phoned the capability assessor today for a update they said it looks as they if my assessment hasn't moved for a while, so the case manager from the universal credit said everything fine I don't need to do anything I don't understand I haven't had assessment or any extra money ABIT worried thank you

If you haven't had a work capability assessment then you need to keep sending fit notes until you do and you get the result, either 'fit for work' 'limited capacity for work' or 'limited capacity for work related activity' Only the last category will pay you more money.
If there is a gap in your fit notes they won't backdate the money if you get LCWRA.

Hi @Ellon, I have heard that sometimes they can put you into either of the Limited capability groups temporarily until an assessment happens, so perhaps that's what's going on for you. I can't say for certain though, I hope some of our other members might be able to share their experiences 😊
Does it say anything on your statement about whether you have limited capability for work?
