Hello, I am a UC claimant suffering with schizophrenia.

I have been handing in sick notes continuously for over 5 years and an WCA for some reason was never triggered despite the normal protokol of 3 months trigerring a WCA. My social worker had to speak to the uc for a UC50 to be sent out in october 2023. The form was completed by the deadline. Now i have not heard anything back since regarding an assssment. Is this type of delay normal?

That sounds like an unusually long time to wait for a WCA assessment. I'd suggest calling the DWP to ask if there are any updates and to make sure their received the forms. Is your social worker able to do that for you?
