hi again, they booked the first commitment appointment after telling me it’s to see what he’s “incapable of” (rather than capable) and changed it to a telephone appointment. The day after it was canceled and when you go on his UC account it’s changed over to him not having any commitments and they’ll update him if that changes, mine says the same.

What does this mean? Why would they have canceled it?

Also how do we find out whether he’s on the LCWRA part?

It is all so confusing to me. I’m sure after a few months we will get the hang of it but I’m not enjoying the process inbetween

The reason why commitments have changed and the appointment has been cancelled is because they've highly likely received information from ESA that your partner was in the Support Group, which is LCWRA for UC. Once you receive your statement you need to check if all elements are correct, it will have them all listed, included the LCWRA element.

You have no commitments due to being a carer.

Thankyou. If it states a date that the statement should be done is there any time it’s earlier. It’s due within the next week but times are hard as you can imagine. I don’t want to apply for an advance though

My statement is usually available 2 days before the date stated.

However this does not change the payment date which is fixed.

My daughter's assessment periods are 18th to 17th of every month. It says her statement is due on 20th of the month but very often (when I remember to check) it's there on 19th but sometimes on 20th. It can appear anytime of the day.

Payment dates are always the same unless payment falls on a weekend or bank holiday and then payment will be the last working day before.

Hopefully things go a bit more smoothly @qwertyqwerty, now they've received the information from ESA and you no longer have to go to a face-to-face appointment. How are you feeling?
