Hi @jason85, welcome to the community ๐
We've got lots of very helpful members who know all about the benefit system, so I'm sure we can try and answer some of your questions. What is it that you'd like to know?

hi sorry for the late reply .well Iโve really been struggling with the whole benefits system.basically I was getting high rate pip both parts for mental health and some mobility issues I was in my own bungalow claiming housing benefit somebody has told me I should have been getting sdp also.?Iโm not sure about this as I was on LCWRA does anyone know what the ado is for if itโs only esa.?any help would be good with this please as itโs giving me sleepless nights and really struggle to ring them to ask the questions Iโve asked jobcentre and they havenโt got a clue .hope this makes sense

SDP is only payable when claiming the old legacy benefits such as Income Related ESA/JSA and Income Support. LCWRA refers to Universal Credit and it's not payable with that.
Have you always claimed Universal Credit or were you claiming other benefits before that? If so, which ones exactly please?

thanks poppy no I was on esa but I had a backdated payment for sdp along time ago now Iโm on LCWRA and pip .uc I did think that was right about the old benefits but just been told I can still get it only if I live on my own claim high rate pip Dailey living and also receive housing benefit .i was unsure about all of this as it changes a lot thanks for the advice should I not phone them now do you think .??

As you're claiming UC now then unfortunately, it's not payable with this. You will only be claiming housing benefit if you're living in either supported or temporary housing. If not then your rent would be paid in with UC known as housing element.
There's no need to ring them because you're claiming UC now.

ok last question but a couple of years ago I was on uc pip and living in supported housing for 2 years never received this payment dot sdp

It's not paid when claiming UC. You said that when you were claiming ESA you were receiving it, which is correct.
