I can understand your concern for the future, when even basic tasks are a struggle the worry about having benifits removed weights heavy.

As others have mentioned the fear of being forced into taking drastic action can seem as the only option. The way to look at it and one of my coping mechanisms is "I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of knowing they had driven me that far".

Of course the reality is there are still a few good people in positions of power who do care about the disabled and their welfare. Also plenty of organisations like scope that give voice to our plight .

Worth noting.. though we can't trust the new Labour government, the media is playing cat and mouse with people's fears. Making things sound far worse than they are.

Thank you very much Catherine , im sorry i don’t have any hobbies im housebound and i really suffer from very deep depression with no motivation for anything and not coping with everyday life and tasks

I am in a similar situation worrying constantly and not knowing what our fete is going to be.

Its bad enough living with disabilities and health issues without going through this daily fear making our health conditions worse.

Easier said than done not worrying I believe this won't be as easy as they think it will look on the retraction of liz kendell saying visit people in psychiatric wards they said she didn't say that' !! Honestly seeing nightcity posts and hearing how it's all falling apart and wow the charities are on them big time I was the same worrying myself to an early grave tbh one night has pains in my head and left arm I was scared I will not let them bully me anymore the media is designed to keep us In terror bombarded with vile headlines this group taught me so much and the post nightcity helps so much made me relize these words take action and have to go through procure I take day to day I literally have to adopt the attitude that I might not be here tomorrow take day by day I have a feeling we will be alright xx

I try to remain positive but its so hard when our fete is unknown.

I would rather is Labour put of out of all this uncertainty and state one way or another what their plans are.

The waiting is torturous.

The waiting is difficult, though whatever reforms may come there are many steps that legislation has to go through in our country. What something may start out as may not be exactly how it looks when it comes to implementation, or may not happen at all.
