Question on housing, son etc
Hi there,
I’m 75 disabled suffer from numerous ailements, am in receipt of Pension credit, higher rate disability and mobility and full housing benefit and council tax. I’m looking to have my son move in, he is 44 cannot work due to mental health problems he is in receipt of universal credit/lcwra and PiP.
Obviously I believe I would need to let the council know but how will this affect my situation with regards to what I receive as above ?
Thanks for your help in advance xx

You council tax support may be impacted, but the rest of your benefits, and his, should not change if he were to move in. You would both still need to report the change of circumstances.

Hi @Hellokitty865 and welcome to the community 😊
As Emilee has said, you'll both need to report your change of circumstances. PIP won't be affected. You can use a benefits calculator to find out what changes there would be to Council Tax and Universal Credit, if any.
