Then your UC should include the carers element for you. However, if you are found to have LCWRA you will not be able to receive that as well as carers element because the same person can’t receive both at the same time. In this case only the higher element is paid, which is LCWRA.
If your UC includes Transitional Protection then you may not be any better off at all because this will erode when the LCWRA element is included.

I’m sorry but I don’t know what that last bit means yes we have the protection but what I did notice is that when we was on tax credits I was getting help with council tax and now since the switch to u c I don’t get any help

Transitional Protection erodes over time. This means that if other elements increase or you become entitled to other elements the TP will erode by the same amount. How much is your TP if you don’t mind me asking?
For council tax reduction this is from your local Authority. When you claimed UC it should have been recalculated based on your UC award. You will need to contact them to ask. Or you need to reapply again but you should need to reapply.

Transitional Protection.

where would it say this ? I’m sure it says no extra amount was added to my u c as my benefit was the same xx

It will tell you on your UC statements if it includes Transitional Protection. (TP)

it says your universal credit is not less than your previous benefit so they haven’t added a extra payment xx

OK thanks, that's good. That means that if you're found to have LCWRA your UC will increase by the difference between the carers element and LCWRA element, which is £217.88/month.

that would be a massive help it’s killing my not being able to work xx

I’ve had my statement through today and nothing shows for my husband being my carer so that payment hasnt been added on xx

He only recently reported the changes so I'm not surprised it's not be included this month. They will owe you money for that, which will be paid as a separate payment once your statement is recalculated.
Can I please just check that he reported a change of circumstances and clicked "caring for someone" and reported it this way? If so then that's correct.
Put a message under the payment section and ask about the carers element.
