Still not had UC migration notice, worried it's lost in post
Son is on income related esa and pip. I was expecting a migration notice letter for him in September as I'd read that was when they were sending them. Still not had one yet and I'm really worried it's gone missing in post. I dont want to ring them as I want to wait for the forced migration i think it's called. Has anyone on esa and pip had their letter yet. Thanks in advance

I think that the intention was to start to send migration notices from September 2024 and to complete the process by December 2025. I work with a number of clients in receipt of Income Related ESA and none of these have received a notice yet.

There will still be many thousands of people that haven't yet received it. It will eventually be sent out, in the meantime please try to focus on something else. They do sent out plenty of reminders during those 3 months so it's unlikely you will miss the 3 month window to claim.

I was worried about the same thing, so I called dwp and said I was worried that my migration letter might’ve got lost in the post. I had waited 55 mins in the queue, and was very nervous, as I wouldn’t have put it past them to say I’d requested to be transferred to UC, so I was in tears by the time I spoke to them. They were ok, and told me that my letter would be there soon.
When the migration letter came, it’s not from DWP - it says universal credit and HMRC on it.
I understand your worry, as three weeks is a long time.
I was migrated as I was on tax credits, my step-daughter who’s on ESA, HB and PIP hasn’t had her migration letter yet. Neither has friend on same benefits.
