Call from PIP assesor
Hello i got a call from PIP independent assesors and she asked me before procceeding do i have anything further to add as it was delayed by one year so yes indeed many chnages like medication and more consultant visits have occurred .she also asked any anxiety depression etc .
She then said ok we will be in touch in mext few weeks .And that she will foward this to the assessment team to see when they can give me an appointment.
I am stressed never had this before am on full disability.Had a tribunal in past. What can i expect now to wait few more weeks for an appointment?Does anyone else had this type of call.

Are you sure it was the assessment provider and not the decision maker from DWP that rang you. They do sometimes ring to see if a decision can be made without needing to send your file to the assessment providers.
If it has now been sent to them then you could still have a paper based assessment. These are rare but possible, if they have enough of information to write the report without needing any assessment.
If an assessment is needed you will be contacted. Most assessments are by telephone. Some are face to face. If an appointment is received and it's face to face you can change it to telephone, if you prefer that.

You can have someone with you during the assessment, if you want to. Try not to answer any questions with just a simple yes or no and try to go into as much detail as possible.
When you filled out the form I hope you treated it as a new claim and gave as much information as possible and didn't just put no change, even if there weren't any changes. Especially if you had to take your current award to Tribunal.
If you kept a copy of the form have a read of that before the assessment.
It can last anywhere from 20 to 120 minutes, sometimes longer. Once the report is written and returned a decision can take up to 12 weeks.

Hi Poppy
Thank you for your valued response.I did write my changes i will definately go through them. Suprising on phone she asked me any changes on ph as it has been a year since renewal they were delayed and i stated some and then she said alot is happening to you we will contact you shortly.I thought that would be enough but now i have another stressful call again in a week.
So i have more reports since that year has passed should i send them through or state that to the assesment team now or on the day of the assesment .
Kindly advsie me please.I am stressed this just makes my anxiety worse:(

You're welcome. It will depend on what evidence you've already sent and what's included in the new reports you have. Sending multiple pieces of evidence all saying the same thing isn't helpful. Less is often more.

If you requested for it to be recorded by the assessor then they should have the recording on file. It should be able to be sent to you via email, you may have to request this. Do let us know if you manage to get the recording.
