The truth is rarely pure and never simple

No we are not.
We all have differences of opinion.
The world would be a pretty boring place if we didn't.
I merely stated my motto and I am not suggesting anyone is wrapped in cotton wool.
I am not that rude.

Yes, the rules are written very vaguely, there are no criteria, examples, you can interpret them differently. In addition, Scope can improve the forum and introduce the setting of hiding messages of the selected users.

Hey folks, I know this a very important subject to many, but can we please be careful of how we're expressing our thoughts?

In this instance @vikki66 wishing death on people, no matter who they are is definitely something we don't welcome on the community.

No worries @Nightcity I know we're all feeling the stress right now, we just need to be a bit careful with how we word things. And things can be misconstrued easily with the written word.

Hey @stay_positive, it was a general statement made because in this discussion there had been a few comments that we deemed went a little too far when it comes to our guidelines. Those comments were edited, so you won't be able to see what was said now.

My complaint was in regards of what I've read from a commenter who insinuated that depression/anxiety wasn't "severe" enough to require financial support, when times are hard people become insular, they think about themselves, their own obstacles in life and it's understandable but a little tact for others goes along way.
Depression is the gateway into permanently disabling yourself, I would say that's rather severe to be honest.
Depression is like a weed that left untreated encircles everything, it needs to be nipped in the bud before it takes hold and if it takes hold it can become a death sentence.
Is financial the support all a depressive needs? No, they need professional help, a route back into a semblance of normality but they need to know that they are not alone.
