Autistic grandchild refusing to go outside. We are nit sure what to do

Hi @grannyw, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear your grandchild is having trouble leaving the house at the moment. How old are they, if you don't mind me asking?
The outside world can be quite overwhelming if you have a different way of processing sensory information, do you think they might be struggling with becoming overstimulated, or do you think there's something else happening?
Ambitious about Autism and the National Autistic Society might have some resources you'd find useful to read through.
