The department who issued the certificate should be able to provide you with a copy, or his GP may have it on his notes to give you one also.

I’ve tried ringing hospital all day no answer but uc are just going on that I need the cvi certificate as he doesn’t claim dla . He’s partially sighted but will that count on uc element with a cvi certificate

Hopefully someone will get back to you, as UC have made the request it will need to be given to them.

Perhaps a request via PALS would be more successful?

How old is your son, and which element are you looking to claim?

Heya @mosesmorris and a big welcome from me too!

I can see you're already getting support with your query here and I don't want to confuse things, I just wanted to stop in and say a quick hi.

    Hi @mosesmorris

Have you had any luck contacting the hospital or the GP today? Your local council might hold a copy as well.

it’s the rudeness of it if I can claim disability element without them saying well he would be on high rate care if he was blind 😫he clearly isn’t on any dla or pip I found that a bit rude of them to put that

@mosesmorris I understand the frustration. All you want is what your son is entitled to. Sometimes the forms and conversations from these departments can feel judgemental.

I had a PIP assessment a number of years ago. The nurse was sat opposite me and we were discussing my CP and epilepsy. When I received the report a week later, she had confirmed everything I told her, but there was a note at the bottom. "the applicant didn't have a seizure during the assessment." I mean really? Did she think I could have a seizure on demand. 😩

I hope you get this resolved very soon.
