Advice please - House related - reliable tradespeople?

Hi everyone - I havent been on properly in ages,
Long story short. Just before Covid, bought small modest house, miles out the way in countryside (hence cheap). Covid happens, job location changes, life's pulls change. The house is a burden, I am never there, often 2 hour drive away.
SO JUST SELL IT! I can't, this is where I need help please. It barely passed a survey to sell it to me, and I have all the tasks to tackle on the list.
It was bought as a fixer-upper. I thought then, I can save (learn and do a bit) and (mainly) pay for someone to do X Y and Z. Covid happened and in many cases doubled and tripled the cost of X Y and Z. I have reduced down my list of things just to get the basics done and get it saleable, cut and run. Yes I have learned my lesson and if I ever buy again, it will be a TURN-KEY place.
It is a five figure sum worth of work, all in, you would think they would want the work / money. Here is the issue. I have gone through basically the whole list of local tradespeople, online, local cards, names dropped by others. I've been stood up so many times, I have spent annual leave on this and no shows, the tricks and games people play. I;ve even had "no shows" turn up weeks later, giving me attitude being at my house, me not answering (and flat out telling lies as to the appointment time when I was at work), the whole experience of all this has shattered my faith and trust in getting passed the elusive next steps stopping me with this :o(
I am also entirely clueless with zero practical skills in the realm of DIY. The multitude of stuff that needs doing, would suit mainly an all rounder. I have even posted up specific jobs all broken down with photos and detail onto Mybuilder . com etc etc and wasted so much time in conversation, there too, where nothing came at the end of it. Mainly my interest and call backs were from types you just knew not to proceed with.
Thanks for reading this far. It is very stressful for me. I feel trapped with this, my social circle and family can't / don't help much with this. Is there any advice anyone can give please, on how I can progress this (that might not be as obvious to me)? I think builder types either take me for a mug or just have better jobs available. I have a pot of money saved, to tackle refurb / building work… but…. cannot find reliable tradespeople.
Thanks for any help

Hi @Tiramisu, sorry no-one was able to answer your question. Have you managed to find any reliable tradespeople? It seems like you've done all the right things in trying to find someone and you've bee incredibly unlucky. I can imagine it's very stressful for you. Is there someone who can help you with your search just to ease the stress a little?
