Hi everyone, I joined today.
Ive spent the last two years being told that my problems are due to the menopause.

At last I have a doctor who is willing to delve into my case. Loads of tests done to outrule other conditions and it’s now looking like I indeed do have fibromyalgia and ME/CFS
Worse part of this condition for me in pain in hands fingers and elbows. Headaches, dizziness causing me to fall and slurred confused speech.

I’m now in the process of losing my job because I’m so tired that I can’t keep up. I feel completely useless!

Hi @TiredHurty67, welcome to the community. I'm so sorry to hear what you've been going through. It really is a battle to be believed sometimes, but I'm glad you've found a supportive doctor to help you find some answers. I've experienced chronic pain and speech problems before too, it can be so frustrating not being able to get your point across.

    Hi Rosy, thank you.

I probably won’t be about too often as I’m always asleep! 🙄

    Hi

I have the conditions you state.

I have been living with them for many years except I have only beeb getting painful hands, wrists, finger and knuckle joints for around s8x months.

I have extremely painful thumb joints and its affecting my ability to function even more difficult.

I never really had any issues going through the menopause except hot flushes and night sweats.

I still get night sweats now but I have learned to live with it.

Welcome to the forum and take care.

Hi Luvpink, Thank you for your post. I’m sorry you are suffering too it’s not easy is it.

I hope you get some peace from the flare ups sometimes. All I want to do all day is sleep. It’s been a long hurty day today!

    @TiredHurty67

    Thank you.

    Its kind of you.

I was unwell last night and I didn't get much sleep so I have been resting up today in a lot of pain and struggling to stay awake.

The cold wet weather doesn't help even though I haven't been out.

I hope you feel better soon.💕

    Morning Luvpink

Sorry to hear you had a bad night. I did too. Seems to be the thing with this condition.

My hands and wrists are so bad today that I can’t think straight. I try not to sleep but I do it without knowing sometimes. The weather doesn’t seem to affect me, I’m like this 24 hours a day now.

I hope you manage to get some rest. Much love ❤️
