Hi @Purplerain1234, welcome to the community. I can totally understand how worrying this is, lots of our members have been frightened too. At the moment, there's nothing to suggest that PIP will be changing to vouchers. This was something that was being looked into by the previous government. It was never a solid plan for them, just a proposal.

We've yet to hear what the new government want to do with PIP, but it's likely they'll have their own ideas so hopefully we'll know more soon. We'll be keeping an eye out for any news over the next few weeks as the government's budget gets announced. Hope you're managing okay! Lots of our members have been worried, so you're definitely not alone here 😊

The whole idea of vouchers, was suggested out of desperation aand Rishi Sunak was hoping it'd be red meat for his core supporters. The DWP even say it'll not work.

The good news is that nothing will happen until next year. I hope this means Labour has realised it's not right to take money away from vulnerable people.

We'll have to sit tight until the budget, but hopefully it's good news.

I hope it will stay as it is as vouchers would be a bad idea for us to manage with

One of our members posted this today @Purplerain1234, it says that the proposals from the consultation have been shelved.

We can't say what the new government will do, but it's unlikely they'll follow with exactly the same thing as they say the response to the proposals was negative.

    One part says:

"We will be considering our own plans for social security in due course and will fulfil our continued commitment to work with disabled people so that their views and voices are at the heart of all that we do."

    So that sounds promising 😊
