What you've said is EXACTLY what I think will be happening too.

Sorry if I'm dense this morning but what is the significance of 29 November?

ok everyone, I've taken all my knowledge and added it to everything I've seen from reliable sources, and what's been posted here on links and social media, forum comments etc etc and I've come to a lot of contradictions but I'm getting an overall idea of what's happening.
my opinion is
firstly all the horror ones like sending people onto inpatient units
EVERYONE should be working
I think these are what I call the "water test" whenever there's an election or budget we get scary headlines this is I believe on a three part staging.
A) To see how much backlash It gets, where from and then scrap it without even officially announcing it (sneaky)
B) To distract from the scandals of WFA which they have just received a whopping half a million signature petition.
C) To try alarm so whatever final announcements come everyone will be hoodwinked into thinking "phew that's not as bad_ when it's possibly is.
Next up I'm seeing a lot more pushback and fight already than ever before, @apple85 stated an opinion about a storm coming and I believe that's absolutely going to happen.
this government won't get away with much at all
Their popularity is now so low you'd dislocate a shoulder trying to reach to pick it up.
Starmer and Reeve's make more U turns than an aircraft with a jammed rudder. So any heat they'll panic. They love the power that's all, like skeletor shaking a fist at he man then looking a plonker when he realises he man is the one with the power.
we mustn't underestimate this community, those who have our backs like scope, mind, disability news service the UN convention.
@Catherine21 you have been in fight or flight since July, you've come so far and made friends here we all got you, I wobble occasionally, we all do But back on the horse as it were be defiant and stubborn to the last.
Now this Gregg bloke, anyone for a steak bake?
has a lot of influence and some of what @Meg24 posted doesn't sound too bad especially his instance on voluntary.
@Morgan_Scope It's been lovely to meet you this weekend I'd like to thank you for your calm, kind and sensible running of the forum.
and finally whoever reported me to he checked on by Adrian, thanks I was in a bad area yesterday and it meant the world that somebody took the time to get my welfare checked

hello hope everyone’s doing okay at the moment ❤️
@Nightcity I think you are right, I think they are testing the waters, as even yesterday I started seeing articles saying ‘Labour to reform benefits in their own way’ after the torrent of articles coming out on Friday night from the right wing press. I still have a glimmer of hope that Starmer is a decent man, after watching him in opposition, opposing benefit cuts such as the £20 a week extra for UC, I’d like to think that he wont go down the same path as the conservatives, and Angela Rayner and even Wes Streeting come from backgrounds of poverty, I believe Rayner saying that her mum suffered from mental illness so i need to remember that we’re not dealing with the same evil level as Stride/Hunt.
I’m really grateful that I found this community as I have been so worried about this for so long, as have a lot of people here and apart from my dad I’ve not really had anyone to talk to about it.I’m still worried but I’m going to try and get on with my day and clean my house a bit, I hope everyone here has a wonderful day ❤️

It's amazing isn't it don't know what I'd do without this group me too got up changed bedding and start cleaning been saying to myself focus on today who knows what tomorrow brings as song says my dad always says cass day by day I truly believe that's the only way to live life he's 80 and he's been through life of mental health trying to be in the moment because it really robs your peace days of being like a zombie is horrendous so let's say for today I will try do the small things fk the goverment as alot of people saying they can't do everything they want thankyou nightcity for the motivation I pass that on oh x

Hello everyone, I'm also drained from my day online but so encouraged with the progress we've made here together and all the love expressed!! 💜
B and C are spot on.
But Nightcity, Starmer's new advisor, Professor Paul Gregg, is ex-DWP and cannot have our best interests in his sight (nor Starmer's).

Most of us have had our lives on a pause button since July, with any luck you're right and we will get our lives back.
it's great having you here you've settled in quickly and help us ss much as we do you, it's only me and my mum like you and your dad so I hear that.

I just hope that we get the best of his proposals not the worst

Well done, it’s really hard to do anything sometimes so you’ve done really well to do that ❤️
I’m moving at the same pace as a snail/slug today but it’s better than doing nothing. Yes 100% day by day is the way to do it my dad always tells me not project into the future, living by the moment is definitely some good advice x1 -
Charities and advocacy groups play an important role in safeguarding vulnerable people by raising awareness of their issues and campaigning for their rights.
The government have already announced they are not responding to the last government's PIP consultation and will instead be developing their own plans for social security reform. Until we know what those plans are, charities like Scope will continue fighting for a fairer, less punitive system and working to influencing public policy to create lasting change.

Thank you for your kind words, @Nightcity. I’m glad @Adrian_Scope was able to check in on you yesterday.
While I wish I could take away the worries, it has been incredibly heartening to see the support everyone is giving one another and the positive difference it makes. Whatever changes may come, we’re in this together and will support each other. That has never been more evident than in the messages shared here.

Also what labour are doing is thier targeting every individual on uk unless super rich !! Ulez employers employees workers on uc if council tax goes up well watch this space I wish people would just strike I feel that's the only way talking about psychosis we all could be pushed to the brink safe at home under immense pressure will be like a time bomb maybe they want that starmer for the who Davos

@Catherine21, I know it is stressful but please try and remember that labour haven't actually announced anything yet. A lot of the stress and anger people are expressing are based on assumptions of the governments plans, as no one actually knows what they are planning yet.

so lovely and so true. bless you

now this is a interesting read:
I’ve actually have a lot of time for Lisa Nandy who is one of the more decent cabinet membersIf in a few years a coup is aimed at starmer (I’m 90% sure that Wes streeting will be a major figure behind any possible overthrowing /backstabbing of starmer, the weasel he is) then I hope nandy is in the mix in any leadership contest - I don’t always agree with him but also McDonnell as dwp minister in that scenario)

I didn’t give more than the date as it’s a very vey delicate subject which I imagine scope mods would prefer we didn’t discuss on the forum at least till we knew more of the details

I know what you're talking about and You've definitely done right not posting it
