Transitional payment

Good morning,
Me and my wife have a joint claim. She will receive her first Lcwra payment next month and as I claim carers allowance I believe I will get the carers element.
Our Transitional payment currently stands at £352 so when she gets the Lcwra payment of £416 would that add up to £416- £352 =£64
So we would be better of by £64 per month?
Thanks.

Your calculations are correct. To be clear, carers element isn't automatically paid when claiming carers allowance, please make sure the carers element is also included in your statements.

Thanks for the quick reply poppy. I can confirm I already receive the carers element.
