Earnings question on claim
Hi, I'm moving on to UC. I'm stuck with a question on the claim, Earnings there's a drop down to select Hourly, Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly and Annual. There's no option for 4 Weekly so I'm unable to continue! Can anyone advise?
Thanks

It does not matter which option you select; they are only really interested in understanding your typical earnings. In your case, the advice is to choose either weekly or fortnightly and provide the amount you would earn in that timeframe. You can either divide your 4-weekly earnings by 4 to get the weekly amount or divide by 2 to get the fortnightly amount. Choosing the fortnightly option is likely your better choice in this situation.
Are you aware that when you are paid 4-weekly, there will be one assessment period each year where two of your wage packets arrive in the same assessment period? It is worth calculating when this will occur so that you are not caught by surprise.

Hi @BRandall, welcome to the community 😊
I understand the desire to have it exact, it would feel wrong to me as well if I was paid on a four weekly basis but I couldn't put it in like that. Universal Credit won't mind however as long as whatever you input does reflect your earnings.
If it helps at all we have an advice section about applying for Universal Credit: Applying for Universal Credit | Disability charity Scope UK
