I try to get outdoors every day. I recommend Mother Nature - immerse yourself in the power of green 💚

Hey @Catherine21, have you talked to your GP about this inability to control your stress and terror? There are medications and other methods that can help you control this.
MIND also have a lot of resources that can signpost you to help, or even offer techniques that are known to help some people. Maybe sitting down and going through it with your daughter might help? Here are some specific pages that I thought might prove useful:
About online mental health - Mind
Anxiety and panic attacks - Mind

Mix in half decaffeinated coffee with your usual coffee. You won't notice any difference in taste if it's a good one ☕️
Tea is very calming despite the caffeine 😊

Switch off all your screens and play music to soothe or de-stress. Cleaning is meant to be therapeutic - google why 🤔

I try as hard as I can to avoid the press because they seem to thrive on fuelling fire when it comes to benefit reforms.
It sells newspapers and gets people hating each other on TV news chanels and at the moment all it is is speculation and fear mongering.
Until we know for sure what is going to happen there is nothing any of us can do and it isn't worth making ourselves ill over it.
Easier said than done I know but its true. X

I have ptsd, it seems to get worse with all that's going on. I have a repetative nighmare that's very vivid and real that also seems to be more frequent when my stress levels are high and with all this in the news it's been terrible …… music helps, I listen and sing along even if not feeling the joy of music at first you keep on singing along and eventually it eases my racing mind as I concentrate on the words and the beat/melody. If it's not freezing or raining try sitting outside and listening to the world, crafting can help too. Literally anything to stop your mind whirring away. For me nightimes are the worse, can't concentrate to read my books anymore because I can't turn my head off and it's not possible to do the music thing or be outside because I have my other half to consider.
