Had my WCA yesterday and worried they tricked me
Hi.
So I have autism and other issues that affect me and I currently have limited capability for work, this was an award that passed to Universal credit before 2017 so my claim still carries the LCW element.
I went in and my appointment was 1.15 but they said come back at 1.30, so I did and then they said come back at 2, then they said come back at 2.30. My threshold on how much my sensory overload can take was depleted and by the time I went back and they told me to wait I was sweating and had a really bad headache from constant going out and putting up with noises of cars and smells etc. I came back at 2.30 and didn't get seen too till 2.50.
In the assesment I was shaking, my hair was wet from sweat and down my back, I was hugging my jacket and was very confused.
She asked me on a scale of 1 to 10 what is your mental health currently. I said 7 or an 8. I assumed this meant how bad it was, but now I think she might have meant how good. She didn't explain.
My assessment lasted 20 minutes, she said she had all the information she needed. I gave her my report afterwards from medical people so she had even more information.
Just a bit concerned and feel it's best to prepare now for a madetory reconsideration.
How would I go about doing a MR? And would it be wise to ask citizens advice to help me?
Thanks 😊

@Wonderman I'm so sorry for how you were messed around. It sounds awful but you did so well by attending even after being turned away so many times. You deserve a nice relaxing evening!
The mental health question wasn't worded very well and I'm not sure in what way the assessor meant it. If you want to do an MR, here's all the information you need from the Government website. If you have a UC journal you can ask for an MR through there or you contact them via phone, letter, or returning this form.
Make sure to focus on why you disagree with the decision and try and provide evidence as to why the decision is wrong. Citizens Advice could help you with the process too, and the community is here to help you too.
Hopefully the result is a good one and you won't need to go through with the MR.
