Hi, my name is kaceycliffe! Illegal to use Public Transport?

my friend has said it is illegal for her to use public transportation as she has her car and insurance through pip she is 16 and can’t even drive herself yet. This seems silly to me. Is it really illegal ? Can she get fined ?

Hi @kaceycliffe and welcome to the community 😊 I've never heard this before and it doesn't make much sense for it to be illegal. Do you know where they got this information from?

Nonsense! Basically. We have had a motability car for my son for many years and he also uses public transport a lot (when possible and accessible). Nothing like that has ever ever been said to us (or to anyone else I know) by anyone in any position of authority. I am shaking my head in disbelief actually at whoever told your friend that.
