New WCA timing on migration to UC

I know a lot of us me included have been worried about when we will have another WCA when we are migrated, especially as many of us haven't had one in years (2018 for me).

I came across this link today for the DWP guidance on when to send for a WCA. The section on migration seems to suggest that if a WCA is overdue at the point of migration, that the client will be sent for one 3 months after the claim for UC is made, with the previous LCW/LCWRA decision left in place till then.

I am very concerned about the timings of all this, if we have to go through the new WCA after April, will we be under any new rules? If we migrate before April will they then leave us alone or will we still be due for another WCA in 3-36 months as is the apparent UC schedule atm?

I wish they would just tell us, so we know what's in store.

I’m worried about this too. Have made my claim to UC and have my booking in appointment at the job centre - I am so beyond stressed about that already, I really hope they don’t put me through a WCA as I last had one in 2020, and with the new rules on top of that? It’s all too much
sorry no advice but I can empathise with you. I’m really struggling with it

You will be reassessed under the current programme and from April only if you have a change of circumstances (CoC)

Which means I can never move house. If I do I stand to lose so much money & be at risk of sanctions, do they not realise the implications of that? It's people's life choices you know? What if they rely on family and that family moves away, they'll be stuck with impossible decisions about whether to lose their social support or their financial support. It must be a violation of human rights to put people in that position.
