I was meant to be paid yesterday but never got it
I’m on universal credit and was definitely meant to be paid yesterday (triple checked statements and asked via journal and they confirmed) they said by 8pm it’s now 8am the next day and still nothing, like I need to buy food and get to the hospital etc (I’m fully disabled and have to get to appointments a lot sometimes due to timing I have to get a taxi ).
I checked and there’s no delays with my bank and now I’m stressed and frustrated.
I contacted universal again today and am waiting on a response but I’m unsure what to do and don’t have access to anything like a food bank near me, I’m quite isolated due to my disability and have no one to help me due to that.
any advice would be amazing.

Other than wait for a response all you can do is put a message onto your journal under “service issues.”
Hopefully you will receive a response this morning.

Hi @ja123ee, sorry to hear you're in this position. I hope they'll get back to you today and things get sorted quickly.
Have you got enough food to get by at the moment? If you explain your situation, some food banks will be able to provide a food parcel if you're unable to get out to them. You can also try contacting Citizens Advice or your GP surgery to see if they have any local contacts to get you some food support.
Fingers crossed you can get things sorted without too much stress. Has anything changed that might have affected your payments or has this come out of the blue?

If your payment has been delayed, call again on 0800 328 5644 and request to speak to your case manager.
If you have had a Work Capability Decision, using your journal could cause delays, with any urgent payment issues or always highly recommended calling the service centre immediately.0 -

Hi Karen,
Your payment will unlikely be impacted if the is no blockers, I would just check for your statement intermittently throughout the day.
If it hasn't generated tomorrow, then I would advised calling 0800 328 5644 again.0 -
thanks I rang them today and the lady I spoke to said she could not see any block on the account and I’m up to date with commitments and log in regularly. So hopefully it will turn up. Get stressed and upset at the thought of no payment sorry! Thanks
