Did you report via Journal that he is now in receipt of state pension when he reached retirement age?
If not, do it asap with the date he turned 66. That should cancel the appointment.
Under UC those over state pension age have no work related requirements.

Hi Thanks for your reply. That was what we were under the impression that he wouldn't be required to search for work this is what confused us. We looked a few months ago and couldn't find where to put it on the journal so my hubby rang and spoke to UC and they said that it would be noted obviously it wasn't although it does actually show that he now has his pension, all very confusing

In that case I'd recommend adding a note on the Journal.
As an appointment has been made, try seeing if there is an "appointment" catagory, if not use "service issues".

I would make a note as Kimmy87 says. If they continue to expect him to come in for appointment do let us know as they really shouldn't be doing this. If it gets to a serious point I would recommend perhaps contacting your MP, but hopefully they can rectify this long before it comes to that point.

Good evening
Well what a palaver this has been we followed your advice highlighted where hubby had written in the journal over 2 mths ago the date he would be retiring on and the fact they have it listed he is now drawing his state pension and have everything from his employer to say no longer employed by them and posted it in every possible section on the journal asking why was he being summond to a work search review when he is legally allowed to retire. Well we had an answer back appologising for the confusion and they have cancelled the appointment. I was ready to hit our MP Caroline Dineage and the papers but thankfully that is now not necessary but it was enough to upset and worry us. Thank you so much for your help in this matter. Take care

So it's all sorted now? Glad to hear it. Hopefully it is the last you hear of it now that they've recognised the mistake they've made.
