Anyone else have this experience with UC?

Hello everyone nice to talk to you all, I was wondering if anyone managed to change the number and successfully getting codes in order to login to your journals?

My problem is that I am my brothers appointee, after having an accident he sustained brain injuries so I responsible to keep up with his journal in April 2024 we lost the mobile where the codes were sent to and I rang UC helpline for advice and they told me that they will send a message to our local job centre in order for them to make an appointment and that way the number can be changed. After waiting for three weeks I kept on ringing and in July they changed the number without telling me they also retrieved the email where notifications were sent to, at this point my brother had his work capability assessment in where he was exempt from working due to his injuries for another year and he was awarded maximum payment and pip, between July and August UC was sending messages notifications to the wrong number and in September they closed my brothers account, now I am in the process of going to court, UC are making me responsible for what happened.
Does anyone have any advice, has anyone experienced anything similar to my situation?
