Review (UCR agents only)

hi Poppy I didn’t mean that you was an agent. I just meant I understood why he was asking because this is how they get you thinking and you question everything and everybody and it’s not fair. I totally know you’re not but I understand why the system wrong it shouldn’t be getting people questioning people but it does and it has and it will carry on until something is done about it. This is messing with not just an unpaid bill or something easy to solve as that. I hope you didn’t take any with that but I hope you understand why he probably does feel the way he the system has got him thinking like that.

hi Poppy how come you still get ESA? Are you still entitled to it? Or do you you have to move over to UC? Can you make another claim for ESA once you are on UC as I find this to be a lot harder than any information be good to know thanks

@WAWAW23 I know you didn't mean I was an agent, this is why I didn't quote your comment. 😊
I haven't received a migration letter yet, the same as a lot of other people. Yes of course I'm still entitled to ESA and it will continue until I submit a claim for UC sometime in the future.
No, once you migrate to UC you can no longer claim Income Related ESA because that has now ended for new claims.
New style ESA can be claimed if a person has worked at some point in the previous 2 tax years. Or part of your ESA was contributions based when you were claiming ESA and then this reverts automatically to New style ESA but it is deducted in full from any UC entitlement.

No, it's not a bad thing. When there's multiple members commenting on one thread, it just makes it easier to speak to an individual person because when quoting it means you're speaking to the person that you quote.
Not everyone quotes and that's fine too.

poppy123456 the reason i asked if you was a agent for the DWP? is because there are many on this platform which is a certainty, they come across as helping the individual, but in real time defending the DWP, we would call them a gatekeeper

Has anyone specifically said they work for DWP? If they haven't then you're assuming that they do.
I advise people of the rules, this doesn't mean I agree with them. Everyone has to abide by the rules when claiming any benefits and I'm no exception to that rule. I'm not the only person here that gives benefits advice but that also doesn't mean they work for DWP.

@poppy123456 I agree but I think transparency should be definitely upheld on this site as people are sharing their darkest and worries and if they are DWP workers on here it would make people back off and feel slightly intimidated and not want to share their full thoughts and views due to maybe being discouraged that DWP workers are infiltrating the site normal people who claim benefits if you do I think it should be a rule that you have to say you work for DWP as we all need to trust each other and try and help each other and not worry about if someone is watching or listening to what you are trying to advice about

we all have nothing to hide on here we are just trying to get advice on what is going our benefit situation so I think transparent transparency is key to a open and fearless group and not having to worry about DWP workers looking in watching our comments, thoughts and feelings. It should be a safe environment for all of us to get everything we need to get off our chest.

I'm a member of another forum and there's people working for DWP that post on there. It's never been a secret to anyone and I've always found them to be really nice members of the forum.
No one on any forum knows your personal details such as name, address, email or telephone number etc so you always remain anonymous in that respect.
This is a public forum so even if people aren't members, they can still read all of the threads.
