Best flooring for a wheelchair?
Hi, wondering if anyone else has had problems deciding the best flooring in the home when using a wheelchair.
Before I became.disabled we had loose lay vinyl flooring in the main rooms. It was excellent, - easy to sweep a up the dog hair, clean mess from the grandchildren, etc. But my wheelchair started to cause ripples on the flooring, and we have had to take it up.
What do you wonderful people recommend? We are not keen keen carpet, an our floor is not level so laminate or LVT would require a lot of expensive prep work levelling the floor.
All advice welcome !!!!!!

Hi @davidb2010, Would vinyl tiles would be an option?
I'm no expert so I'm not sure if that would have the same problems as laminate or need a fully level surface to be laid down, but it might prevent some of the rippling that comes with the loose vinyl.
Hopefully some of our members will be able to share what worked for them too 😊
