There are many misleading comments in response to this query, so please do not take everything written here as gospel. I do not have the time to correct everything, but I strongly advise speaking to a Welfare Rights expert for advice before reporting anything. Depending on the frequency of withdrawals and the amounts involved, there may not even be anything that needs to be reported.

The link Kimmy87 gave would be the same one I would recommend.

    AdviceLocal

Or search Welfare Rights and then your area. For example: Welfare Rights Manchester and see what results you get.

Citizen's Advice may be able to assist, although they are sometimes known to provide inaccurate advice.

Unless they decide that you withdrew the funds regularly (in which case they might classify it as income rather than capital), the money will be considered as capital. If your total capital is under £6,000 (and it appears all of your payments fall within this limit), it should not affect your ESA entitlement. If they decide it was income, it would be deducted £ for £ meaning you may have an overpayment.

The document is quite difficult to read, but there is some relevant information here:

Thank you my hubby will try and understand that document

How deep can they look into our life? i feel violated already

They are asking for everyrthing over £300 but i have probably spent £600 on clothes but £20 a time

We wish we never found out about this money now

One thing i failed to mention is at the end of the demands it does say "inform us whether you expect more payments"

The box they provide for answers is about 2 inches so how we can use that is laughable

Going on your statement re capital or income would that question possibly mean they are unsure? and if we say no, which we will, do you think they will treat as capital?

As other's have said I highly advise you speak to a professional benefits adviser. This is a complex case and it is best if you can go over the statements with an individual who is knowledgeable with the benefits system. If you have not already you can try your local Citizen's Advice Bureau, you can also try Turn2Us - AdviceFinder, as well as Advicelocal.

Will the DWP grant me more time do you think?

I have spoken somebody today there but they said somebody will call me back

If you explain to them that it will take time to get bank statements there is a chance they will give you more time. They will either grant an extension or you'll still have the original deadline, so it cannot harm to ask.
