Me - does anyone else have this experience?
I hello people, I'm a 75 year old man and have experienced a fear inside about almost everything, checking things over repeatedly sometimes giving up altogether, as a kid tapping things so many times stepping on lines, kicking things out the way not to see where they end up worrying about making the right decision etc etc I've managed throughout my life but it seems to be getting worse I'm never at peace and have trouble sleeping I'm now frightened of driving, even worrying about going out and things I used to do easily, does anyone else have this experience

Hello @jumping welcome to the Community. Could you talk to your GP about how you are feeling to see if he can offer you any help. Any questions please ask.
You might like to look in Categories for Topics and Information.
Take care.

I don't trust GPs they seem to be too judgemental ask too many questions then fob you off

Hi @jumping, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you've been feeling worse lately. Is there anything on your mind that could be affecting the way you're feeling?
If you'd like some extra support with your mental health, Mind run some local groups:
I totally understand that talking to your GP can be difficult sometimes, I've definitely been there! But if you're really struggling please do consider chatting to them about what's going on. If you're able to take some notes in with you, sometimes that can help you get your point across about how difficult things are feeling at the moment. Or is there anyone who could go with you to the appointment to help you explain?
There might be some treatments that could help you feel more in control of things, so it's worth a go if you feel up to it.

I was offered some medication for depression but shyed away from that I take enough for other conditions it's nice to communicate with others who have difficulties for now, the sun always helps as is now

It's always nice to chat to people who understand @jumping 😊 I think there'll be plenty of people on the community who will be able to understand what you're going through if you just want to chat about things for now.
And the sun is definitely a bonus today!
