    Hi to all,

I went to my appointment the consultant said my wound was fine & would heal by itself i arrived home went to change my dressing & their was all blood on my dressing this has happened about 5 times now.

I have said to the district nurses so they know & I also messaged hospital.

Today I went to change my dressing as it was yuck & and couldn't find the small scissors so used the big ones 🙃 oh no I cut my tube accidentally so they had to come & put me a new SPC Tube in i had to leave the rest of the 1st tube in so it didn't close up anyway the district nurse took the first tube out & said my catheter balloon hadn't been blown up when in theatre and it's caused granulation as it wasn't done properly when it should have been done correctly so that's why I was in so much pain & soreness.

They R now comming out 2 per week to change my dressings.

Hi @amazingblazing628 It is disappointing that your catheter balloon was not blown up, and this resulted in your pain and soreness. Thankfully they have found this and hopefully things will now improve for you.

    Please take care.
