Thank you for the welcome.
My decision to join this forum is basically because I have found myself in pip bother so to speak.
I recently contacted pip for copy of my benefit entitlement
Since receiving it I got a pip review and accompanied letter. My form was due to be received by 1 Nov, and I was only given less than 2 weeks to complete it and send back.
Thankfully it was the pip2 form so shorter. But it was no easier to complete, due to getting all the evidence and medical documents to post with it.
WiWith help, Imanaged it and sent it back 26 Oct. 14 Nov I received a letter stating that my form had not arrived in time and my benefit had stopped on 9 Nov.
I am in such a mess as what to do next. They say I have a month to appeal by MR.
II Would really appreciate any advice whatsoever as to what I should do next......
Thank you in advance ☺

Heya @bubsey91 sorry to hear about your PIP issues. Have you called the PIP helpline to ask about this? Sometimes the letters will pass each other in the mail, so the letter you received may not actually be valid. Did you send the forms with any proof of postage?

Hi,
As you sent the form in time, they should be able to reinstate your PIP at least until a decision is made on the review.
Did they tell you to do an MR over the phone or is that just what you read on the letter? If you haven't phoned them, that should be the next step as Albus says.
This happened to me a couple of years ago, and a relative phoned on my behalf, which got the PIP reinstated quickly.

Unfortunately not. I just had to take a chance and ask the person who cares for me to post in post box outside post office, as the queue was so long. I simply cannot stand in queues for any length of time, hence I asked the person who acts as my carer.
I tried to phone them on Friday but no joy, lines very busy and rang off.
Really dont know what to do, and without any proof of postage via receipt, they possibly wouldn't accept the validity of my word. Should I go ahead with MR letter or call before, or both?! So confused!

Call them first and say that it was posted on time. I wasn't asked for any proof of postage when this happened to me.

I agree with OverlyAnxious @bubsey91, I would call them and say it was posted on time. If they continue to suggest they are ending your benefit I would put in a Mandatory Reconsideration as soon as possible. Calling is the best one to start off with as it is possible they simply accept the form anyway and continue with the review as normal.
