CB ESA is £138.20 a week.

UC is a monthly benefit (even though your payment is split).

The calculation you need for monthly ESA is:

    138.20 x 52 ÷ 12 = 598.86.

If you add £598.86 to both UC payments, are you still coming up short?

You need to think monthly rather than weekly or fortnightly.

ESA is paid weekly and UC monthly, there are more than 4 weeks in a month.

To get a monthly figure for ESA you multiply by 52 then divide by 12.

If you add the result to your UC are you still short per month?

Hey @Lionesstiger74, first of all welcome to the community 😊 Hopefully we can help you out here. Can I ask if you received any disability premiums at all under income-based ESA?

There is a difference between ESA and Universal Credit in that ESA is paid every 2 weeks based on a certain amount each week, while Universal Credit is paid monthly. This can cause differences between months as 52 weeks don't neatly go into 12 months.
