Hi, my name is worrierxx! Is this claim review normal?
Universal credit review!
I am a single parent on universal credit. I have just received a message in my journal about a claim review to make sure my payments are correct. I have been asked to provide 4 months bank statements and ID. Is this normal?
im very anxious about this and going over absolutely everything wondering why. Due to money issues and bad credit I do have a credit card connected to my boyfriends card however we don’t live together (he owns his own property) and I pay this back off my benefit money every month which I can evidence. Is this classed as fraud, could this be why? I’m ill with worry

Hi @worrierxx, Welcome to the community. This is totally normal at the moment. It can feel really intrusive for them to be digging around in your bank account, but lots of members have been through these checks lately and have reported that they've mostly been quite straightforward.
The checks are being done at random so it's probably not because of anything that you've done wrong. It's part of a big drive to check everyone is receiving the correct benefit amounts and staying within the limits for savings.
After seeing your bank statements, they may ring you to ask a few questions about different things. If you've got evidence and can explain what's going on with your accounts it should all hopefully go by without a hitch.
Fingers crossed it gets sorted nice and quickly 😊
