I don’t know if anyone can help but I will try anyway,

My daughter is 10 and in year 6 and has an ASD diagnosis, school don’t really give her any support and she is really struggling around a year behind. I applied for an ehcp for her but they said without an educational psychologist report they can’t do anything. School are saying they don’t have the budget to provide one.
Has anyone had a private one done? Is it very expensive as I don’t need a diagnosis just a report.
I don’t want to just give up but feel I don’t have many options left.

I feel like School are being difficult as I got this diagnosis myself and they have even told me that they don’t know how I managed to get her diagnosed without them being involved.
any help would be very much appreciated.

    Hi @Gemmabelle17

As @Bluebell21 suggested IPSEA would be a good source of information.

Did you get a full report as part of your daughters diagnosis? As there is normally recommendations for school, which would be worth sharing and reviewing with school, if you haven't already. It may also be worth seeking advice through your local SENDIASS service. Please let us know if we can be of any further help.
